A rare hybrid solar eclipse will occur on Thursday, April 20th.

All Work Should Be Play

This type of eclipse is unique because it transitions from a total solar eclipse to an annular eclipse.

Only seven of these eclipses will occur in the entire 21st century.

Perth, Australia will have clear weather to view the eclipse, which will begin around 9:36 p.m. EDT on April 19th.

The eclipse's path will also pass over East Timor and Indonesia.

Unfortunately, the transition from annular to total and back to annular can only be seen from remote areas in the ocean.

The next time a similar eclipse can be observed will be on March 23, 2164.
